On August 21, 2020, at 6:35 pm, a panda cub was born at the Smithsonian National Zoo in Washington, DC.
Now one-year-old Ji, as he is called, asks his mom, “What’s outside the zoo? Can I go out and make new friends?” His mom tells him, “You can’t go out by yourself, and I can’t take you, but I have some friends that would be happy to take you out for a fun day in DC.” She calls her friends, Ike and Mike, and asks if they would take Ji out for a fun day in DC. Using an analog clock, they teach Ji how to tell time while having a fun day in Rock Creek Park.
